Fast forward to subsequent years, and the festival became a phenomenon, drawing around 350,000 tourists each August. These events weren’t just festivals; they were time-traveling journeys into medieval Sherwood, featuring major characters from the Robin Hood legend, jousting, falconry, jesters, strolling players, and a multitude dressed in the splendid attire of the Middle Ages.

For 30 years, Fireside Events has been an integral part of this legendary festival. Our immersive ‘have-a-go’ set-up within Sherwood Forest has become a beacon, drawing Firesiders who travel from all over the world to partake in the magic.
